Ståle Nilsen Seafood AS was established in 2007. The company is located in one of the larger fish ports in northern Norway, Myre in Vesterålen.

SN Seafood AS’s main products are seafrozen wild caught fish from the North Atlantic. The firm works closely with Norwegian and International shipowners who are also its main suppliers of seafood.

The staff at Ståle Nilsen Seafood AS has long experience with export and import of fish and fish products as well as significant experience in trading with Norwegian and International shipowners.
SN Seafood AS – menneskerettighetsarbeid
SN Seafood AS follows the Act on Transparency in Businesses and Work with Fundamental Human Rights and Decent Working Conditions (the Transparency Act), which requires larger businesses to conduct due diligence assessments to avoid negative consequences for human rights and decent working conditions in their own business and in the business’s supply chain.
The due diligence standard in the Transparency Act is based on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Due Diligence Assessment Guidelines for Responsible Business. To comply with the Act and these international standards, businesses must carry out a due diligence assessment process, cf. the Transparency Act. § 4.
In line with the purpose of promoting greater transparency about the risk of negative consequences for human rights and decent working conditions, covered businesses are required to publish a report on the due diligence assessments, cf. the Transparency Act. § 5.
SN Seafood AS’ The report will be updated and published annually by 30 June each year. It will also be updated in the event of significant changes in the company’s risk assessments..
Implementation of the Transparency Act
The board of directors of SN Seafood AS adopted on 11.06.2023 SN Seafood AS’ policy for sustainable business operations, which can be downloaded here. This anchors the company’s work on human rights, decent working conditions and other aspects of sustainable business operations for the entire organization.
SN Seafoods AS Human rights work is overseen by the company’s board of directors in collaboration with hired consultants who conduct annual due diligence assessments based on a renewed review of Ståle Nilsen Seafood’s business operations and partners..
